Tulips, Keukenhof, Amsterdam and COVID-19 in the year 2020

I’m not really a “flowers” kinda girl but there was something about tulips I liked. The array of colors were bright and beautiful so my curiosity was peaked. While planning my trip to check out Amsterdam (not just transiting through) I learned there was a whole tulip experience about an hour away in Keukenhof. The flowers start blooming in March till about May. April is prime viewing time. I was supposed to be in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Keukenhof this weekend but COVID-19 decided l needed a travel pause. I looked at my passport tonight, shed an invisible tear and wrote this blog post.

I am grateful for good health and the hope of endless travel possibilities. Here’s to visiting an amazing collection of natural art in 2021. Do you love flowers? Are you coming to Keukenhof with me for next year’s bloom?
